***Systems Engineer (Linux)***

This position is REMOTE ...will be heavily focused on all aspects of our Linux environment. This would include administration, patching, design, hardening, and all maintenance tasks. Looking for strong knowledge with Red Hat Enterprise, Cent OS, and any enterprise Linux administration. The position will also be part of the general needs of our team in the rest of the environment.


Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or equivalent work experience

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in the administration of Windows and Linux servers

• Advanced English (reports to USA)

• Proficient with Windows Server 2008, 2012, and 2016, including hands-on experience with system installation/configuration, file system concepts, resource monitoring, user administration, package management, and file control/management. processes

• Good understanding of application monitoring and metrics.

• Experience using Windows/Linux security best practices

• Knowledge of networking principles and applications/technologies (eg, TCP/UDP protocols, iSCSI, DNS, DHCP, and GPO services)

• Knowledge of virtualization technologies such as VMWare and Hyper-V

• Knowledge of SAN and NAS principles, some experience implementing and maintaining various storage solutions

• Knowledge of PowerShell scripts; use scripting to help automate administrative tasks to improve overall team efficiency
