PHP + SEO
What we need We are looking for an experienced software engineer to help improve performance across a portfolio of websites that directly benefit SEO. An ideal candidate will be excited to be in a smaller company that moves quickly on a constant flow of ideas and have the drive to exceed expectations.

What you’ll doUpdate & develop a large database driven network to improve organic traffic through Google & other search engines. You will find optimal to enhance the performance and new page builds of multiple websites, so they are compliant with Google’s Core Web Vitals and exceed performance benchmarks. In addition, you will proactively monitor logs, errors, and other analytics to identify opportunities.

You’ll have (Requirements)

SEO experience preferably with a high-volume site with millions of URLs
Working knowledge of Technical SEO practices and approaches
Experience optimizing page loads for a better user experience
Experience with crawlability & sitemaps
A strong understanding of code structure & how it relates to search bots
Experience programming in PHP/ASP.NET/.NET Core/C#
Working knowledge in web protocols, such as HTTP/HTTPS, FTP/SFTP, etc.
Experience with RESTFul API, and JSON
A keen sense for problem solving while working individually, and as part of a team.
Knowledge of browser compatibility issues.
Knowledge of Responsive web design practices.
Experience with source control systems, specifically Git / GitLab.
Strong written and verbal communication skills (we are remote!)
BS in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.

Nice to Have (Bonus Points)

Knowledge of search engine ranking factors
Continually optimize pages and assets to be lighting fast and light-weight
Experience exposing directories to search engines through sitemap XML files
Experience building and updating sitemap XML files
Experience working with Search Indexing API’s on Google/Bing and other search engines
Experience managing routes, redirects, and HTTP response codes
Knowledge of Node.JS, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and structured data
Numbers-focused: regularly measure KPIs against the competitive landscape and take steps to ensure we are a leader
Knowledge of; GO, Bootstrap, Vue.JS, MongoDB, Elasticsearch, MS-SQL, HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript
Experience with modern JavaScript libraries and frameworks such as Webpack a huge plus.
