***Sr Embedded Systems Programming Engineer***

What will you do?

Implement design and development of software for automotive instrumentation and electronics modules such as Body Control Modules, Instrument Clusters, and In-vehicle Network Gateways.

Primary Responsibilities

• Participate on a team of software engineers in design and development of real-time software to be embedded in automotive modules.
• Help gather or create requirements or specifications.
• Implement requirements through design, coding, debugging, validation, release and maintenance phases.
• Interface with internal groups such as electrical design, validation, testing, manufacturing and quality under direction of software project leaders.
• Follow software project plan, schedules and action items.
• Provide estimates of effort.
• Participate in improvement of personal and departmental capabilities.
• Support product builds, launches and investigation of quality and warranty issues.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Basic knowledge: Embedded software development (mainly in C language), and basic digital electronics (eg Understanding a basic schematic diagram, knowing basic use of an oscilloscope, multimeter, etc.).
• Desirable knowledge: Agile or traditional development processes (SCRUM, CMMI, V-Model, etc.), Automotive Communications Protocols (CAN, LIN, Automotive Ethernet), and diagnostics such as UDS. Management of tools such as Vector CANoe.

Qualifications

• Engineering in Mechatronics, Software Development, Digital Systems, Robotics or related.
• Advanced English
• 6 years of experience in the area of software design, development and/or testing
